Val's Veggies Corn Bread

1 cup yellow non gmo corn meal

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup melted shortening

1 cup milk (we used almond milk, any milk will probably do)

2 farm-fresh-free-range eggs

2 tablespoons sugar

1 cup flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

non gmo cornmeal from vals veggies

Beat eggs well in a large bowl, then add milk and shortening. Mix dry ingredients in another large bowl; then add to egg mixture, stirring well until moist. Pour into greased square pan or cornstick pans, and bake in 400 degrees farenheit oven for nearly 25 minutes. Mighty good!
