Portugese Kale Soup

Saute until soft...

1/4 Cup Olive oil

4 Medium onions- chopped fine

6 Carrots - sliced

2-3 cloves Garlic



2 Quarts of water or vegetable broth

3 tablespoons Chicken style seasoning

4-5 Potaotes

2 Cups stewed tomatoes

2 1/2 Cups precooked pinto beans

Salt to taste


Slow boil until potatoes are soft. Add a couple pinches of cayenne. De-stem 1/4 lb of kale, chop and add. Let sit for at least 5 min before serving. Flavors blend nicely if let sit overnight.
